Panda is on a journey to change the environmental and social impact of sunglasses. We produce high-end sunglasses handcrafted from sustainable bamboo. What’s more, each purchase gives the gift of vision to someone in need.
Through our partnership with Optometry Giving Sight, we have found a unique opportunity to help grow organically alongside a non-profit organization. We sourced our product by finding a manufacturer of bamboo and creating prototypes with a sunglass manufacturer. This was over 3 years ago.
How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?
We earned our first sale from people after our Kickstarter:
Our #1 source of traffic is people searching our brand directly - Panda Sunglasses. We've also built a strong wholesale business which we run completely on Shopify.
Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?
We use the Customer Pricing app to run our wholesale business. We've used this from boutiques to large stores. We have found that many retailers like re-purchasing wholesale through our Shopify store. It makes everyones life a lot easier.
We were one of Fulfillrite's first customers. They handle our fulfillment.
What are your top recommendations for new ecommerce entrepreneurs?
High quality images and video really helps your store. It gives customer a better idea of what they are purchasing online. When we improved our images and incorporated video we saw an increase in customers.
